This is our full featured SMTP and POP3 component which passed 900 000 downloads in June this year.

Thanks to w3 JMail it is now possible to send and retrieve e-mail from any client without the use of a mail program. w3 JMail can be used by developers to send and receive e-mail from their ASP code or Windows program in a very simple way.  Not only is it possible to send e-mails, w3 JMail now also features retrieval of e-mails, encryption and advanced massmailing features.

New in v 4.5:

   - Added better support for unicode charsets.
   - Added a new property CID to the JMail.Attachment object.
   - Added better logging to MailMerge. It now logs mail that caused an error.
   - Fixed parsing of names (sender and recipients) when using POP3.
   - Removed the X-MSMail-Proirity.


Version information:
Free version lacks support for: POP3, PGP, MailMerge.
Standard version lacks support for: POP3.
Professional version has all features.

We have rebuilt the core of JMail, erased a few minor problems and so on. In the process we 
also modified the licenses and the versions. There are now three versions, created by the 
the needs and requests asked by the customers.

Free:
Includes the basic JMail component, sample code, references and manual. doesn't include POP, PGP or massmailing functionality. No personal support or helpdesk account

Standard:
The Standard versions comes with the whole package EXCEPT POP3 functionality (used for recieving mail)
A somewhat downsized yet powerful Jmail Pro, as a more experienced user would call it.

Professional:
The Pro versions are for the pros. The works. Everything is there.


Requirements:

Any PC-Computer with a Windows version that support 32 -bit programs, COM and Winsock2.  Win 98,
Me, NT, 2000 and XP all support this. If you have Win 95 you can add this with a simple patch that 
you can download.   PGP support require an installed version of PGP ver 6.x
